      Alligators

      Yes, there are alligators. Not just in the zoos and exhibitions and tourist parks, but real live ones, out in the wild. This baby here is about 7 feet. You can get real close and take good photos at various points in the Everglades N.P., most notably on the Anhinga Trail and at Flamingo.

      Take some advice: forget the zoos and head straight for the real thing. Before you do, check out the National Park Service on the web. The entrance fees are reasonable and well worth every penny, and you'll experience things never possible in a zoo. Honest!
